As a specialist in vocal health and a respected university lecturer, I’ve worked with a diverse range of singers in my seventeen years in the performance industry.
It brings me great joy to have helped hundreds of singers maintain and rehabilitate their voice, with an emphasis on long term technique.
Vocal classes and singing lessons are available in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West for all types of contemporary singers, from professional & advanced to beginners & intermediate.
Your Vocal Health
As someone who’s been there, done that, I’m passionate about helping singers overcome their vocal disorders/difficulties & grow as performers, and love working with dedicated industry professionals who want to take their craft to the next level.
Singing Teacher – Contemporary
Singing lessons for advanced, intermediate and beginners are available by appointment for 30, 45 and 60 minutes in Summer Hill, Sydney. As each singer is different, I strive to tailor vocal lessons to the individual performer.
I’m currently a Contemporary Voice Lecturer at JMC Academy in Ultimo, Sydney. Previously I was a vocal teacher and studio director at Elite Vocal Academy, a contemporary music studio which I founded in 2010.
My tertiary training began at the Canberra School of Music under a two-year vocal scholarship with jazz great Gery Scott. I completed a Bachelor of Creative Arts: Performance (majoring in Music and Drama) at the University of Wollongong and it was there I developed an interest in vocal health.
Following that degree I undertook and now hold an Anatomy and Physiology Diploma, Estill Level 1 & 2 and Music Teachers NSW Accreditation.

Testimonials
Nadine is a wonderful vocal teacher with a wealth of knowledge, eager to pass on and share her passion for the voice! Nadine has great experience in teaching an array of voices from beginners, male and female, to working professionals and voice disorders. Nadine’s communication is clear and her approach is thoughtful; As her student, you will definitely be taken care of!
Nadine Manion has a contagious enthusiasm for reaching full potential, she’s the inspiration I needed. Every lesson is perfectly planned for the student’s level and ability with the end goal always in sight. I came to Nadine with a voice problem and damaged confidence. After just a few lessons I had my confidence back and my voice has been on track with the voice recovery plan she created.
Nadine is the real deal. I personally have struggled with voice problems for most of my career, until Nadine came into my life and spoke honestly with me about my voice. She helped me to start an open dialogue about all the things I knew where happening but was too scared to admit. Nadine’s methods are extremely effective, easy to understand and straight to the point and with a little practice on your side Nadine can have you singing like you have never sung before, problem free and with ease.

Trans & Gender Diverse Singing Training
Through a student-centred approach I encourage each singer to guide the direction of their voice. Together we’ll work towards a voice that is healthy, easy, effective and reflective of your true identity.
I pride myself on creating a safe gender-affirming space in my studio, and am registered with the ACON Welcome Here program. Singing is a form of self identity and expression. I believe everyone should have the support to explore their singing voice safely and in a supportive environment.
